Quick Answer: Dr. Dabber Switch 2 glass comes down to how you want it to hit. For the smoothest pull, get a recycler top: the 9″ Spider or the 8″ RBR, $99.99 each. The Showerhead Fab gives you water for $59.99. The $24.99 Dry Attachment runs with no water at all. Every piece fits the Switch 2 only.
Dr. Dabber Switch 2 glass is the easiest way to change how your rig hits without buying a new rig. Here’s how the four tops differ, how much water each one takes and which one I’d buy first.
Quick brief
What should you know before you buy?
Four facts that save you a return.
- It’s Switch 2 only. Every top here is cut for the Switch 2. It won’t fit the original Switch, and Peak glass won’t seat on a Switch 2 either.
- The top changes filtration. A recycler, a showerhead fab or a dry top each pull differently. The cap changes airflow over the dab.
- Water tops take a little water. Fill to just above the perc. More than that splashes toward your mouth.
- Nothing needs an adapter. Each top seats where your stock glass goes. Add water if it takes it, and go.
Pick a top
Which Switch 2 glass top fits how you dab?
Four tops, three ways to filter.
Pick a recycler for the smoothest pull, the Showerhead Fab for water on a budget, and the Dry Attachment if you’d rather skip water. The price climbs with how much the glass does to the vapor.
| Top | Water | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 9″ Spider Recycler | Recycles | $99.99 |
| 8″ RBR Recycler | Recycles | $99.99 |
| Showerhead Fab | One pass | $59.99 |
| Dry Attachment | None | $24.99 |
- Roots Glass 9″ Spider Recycler Dr. Dabber Switch 2, $99.99. Spider arms loop the water through the whole draw. It’s the taller of our two recyclers.
- Roots Glass 8″ RBR Recycler Dr. Dabber Switch 2, $99.99. An RBR recycler loop in an 8″ body.
- Dr. Dabber Switch 2 Showerhead Fab Attachment, $59.99. A showerhead perc feeds a fab chamber, then a bent mouthpiece.
- Dr. Dabber Switch 2 Dry Attachment, $24.99. No water, compact and quick to clean.
Recyclers
How do the two recyclers compare?
Same price, same job, different loop.
Both recyclers keep the water moving through the whole draw, so it doesn’t sit stale or splash up toward your mouth. The difference is the shape of the loop and an inch of height.
The 9″ Spider Recycler runs the water through a web of arms. It’s the one to get if you like watching the glass work. At 9″, it’s the taller top.
The 8″ RBR Recycler runs an RBR recycler loop instead. It’s an inch shorter, so it’s a little more compact on the table.
Both take water to just above the perc. Both cost $99.99. Our recycler explainer covers how the loop works, and every recycler we carry is in one place.
Water, less cash
When is the Showerhead Fab the better buy?
Water filtration for $40 less than a recycler.
Get the Showerhead Fab Attachment when you want water on your Switch 2 but don’t want to spend $99.99. It’s $59.99.
A showerhead perc is a basic perc: a disc with slits in it, and the vapor comes up through the slits. From there it hits a fab chamber, which gives the vapor room to move before the bent mouthpiece.
It’s a single pass through the water, not a loop, so the fill line matters. Too much and it can splash toward the mouthpiece. Our guide to types of bong percolators covers the showerhead next to the other styles.
No water
Why would you run your Switch 2 dry?
The cheapest top, and the least to clean.
The Dry Attachment is $24.99, takes no water and has the least to clean. There’s no water between the dab and your mouth.
Dry tops get pitched for flavor, since nothing sits in the vapor path. They’re also the easy grab for a quick session. No filling, no dumping, no water to change.
The trade is a warmer, direct draw. If a dry hit feels rough to you, a water top is the fix. A dry top also makes a good second piece, so a dirty water top never ends a session.
Setup
How much water goes in a Switch 2 top?
Just enough to cover the perc, and not a drop more.
Fill a water top to just above the perc slits, then stop. That’s enough to filter without water pulling up toward the mouthpiece.
- Take the top off the Switch 2 and fill it at the sink.
- Add water until it just covers the perc. On a recycler, stop there too.
- Seat the top where your stock glass goes. It doesn’t need an adapter.
- Take a pull with the heat off. If water hits your lips, pour a little out.
Too little water and the perc has nothing to work with. Too much and it splashes back. Dr. Dabber’s own advice on its stock glass lands in the same spot: fill for filtration, not to the top.
Your heat setting shapes the hit too, so check our guide to the best temperature for dabs.

From the Counter — Who a recycler is for
Here’s how I think about recyclers. A recycler is mainly built for dabbing. The water bubbles through the whole piece and comes back down like a waterfall, so the flow never stops. You get a longer hit that’s smoother, with more flavor.
The trade is drag. A recycler pulls harder than a straight perc piece, which has a lot less drag. So if you take smaller hits and you’re dabbing out of it, that’s the recycler case. If drag bugs you, go simpler.
Airflow
Do you need a different carb cap too?
The top filters the vapor. The cap moves the air.
You don’t need one, since the Switch 2 comes with a magnetic carb cap. A joystick cap is the upgrade if you want to steer the airflow yourself. The cap seals the top so your pull goes through the glass.
The UFO Opal Joystick Carb Cap is $24.99 and fits the Switch 2. You tilt and turn it to steer the air across the dish. That pushes your concentrate around, so it doesn’t pool in one spot. There’s an opal accent on top.
“UFO” is just the shape. What matters is the directional airflow. Our carb cap guide covers how each style moves air, and the rest of our carb caps are there if you run other rigs too.
Care
How do you clean Switch 2 glass?
A quick rinse often beats a deep clean later.
Dump the water after each session, rinse the top with warm water, and soak it in isopropyl alcohol when resin builds up. Swab the quartz insert after each session too, while it’s easy.
- Dump and rinse. Old water goes stale fast. Fresh water every session keeps the pull clean.
- Soak when it’s cloudy. Isopropyl alcohol breaks down resin. Rinse the alcohol out well with warm water before the next use.
- Dry tops are quicker. There’s no water, so a swab and a rinse usually does it.
Recyclers take the most care, since there’s more glass for residue to cling to. Don’t want to use alcohol? Our guide on how to clean a dab rig without alcohol works on e-rig glass too.
Stock vs ours
Is aftermarket Switch 2 glass worth it over the stock top?
What you get for the money, piece by piece.
Yes, if you want a different pull or a second top. Dr. Dabber’s own replacement glass lists at $79.95, and our Switch 2 tops run $24.99 to $99.99. It comes down to what the glass does.
The stock top uses a laser-cut perc and water. Our Showerhead Fab costs less and still runs water. The Dry Attachment gives you a second top for $24.99. The two recyclers add a loop the stock glass doesn’t have.
You don’t need to replace a stock top that’s working. Buy aftermarket glass to change the hit, or so you’ve got a clean backup. Our Switch 2 accessories guide covers the rest of the kit, and every Switch 2 piece sits in our Dr. Dabber collection.
My pick
Which Switch 2 glass would I actually buy?
A straight answer for most Switch 2 owners.
I’d buy the 8″ RBR Recycler at $99.99, then add the $24.99 Dry Attachment as a backup. That gives you a smooth water top and a quick dry one.
Want the arms? Swap the RBR for the 9″ Spider Recycler, same price. On a tighter budget, start with the Showerhead Fab at $59.99. Browse all e-rig glass and gear if you run more than one rig.

Frequently Asked Questions
What people ask before they buy Switch 2 glass.
What is the best glass attachment for a Dr. Dabber Switch 2?
For the smoothest pull, a recycler top. The 8 inch RBR Recycler and the 9 inch Spider Recycler are $99.99 each. For water on a budget, the Showerhead Fab is $59.99. For no water and the least cleanup, the Dry Attachment is $24.99.
Can you smoke flower out of the Dr. Dabber Switch 2?
No. The Switch 2 is a concentrate e-rig. It heats dabs by induction in a quartz insert, and it isn’t made for dry herb. Flower gets smoked, so reach for a glass bong or a hand pipe instead.
Will original Dr. Dabber Switch glass fit the Switch 2?
No. Switch 2 glass is cut for the Switch 2 only, and original Switch glass won’t carry over. It works the other way too: Switch 2 glass won’t fit the original Switch. Check that a listing says Switch 2 before you buy.
Where can you get Dr. Dabber Switch 2 replacement glass?
Dr. Dabber sells its stock replacement glass for $79.95. Aftermarket Switch 2 glass can cost less or do more. Our Dry Attachment is $24.99, the Showerhead Fab is $59.99, and both recyclers are $99.99. Each one seats where the stock glass goes.
Is a recycler worth it on the Dr. Dabber Switch 2?
It is if you want the smoothest pull. A recycler keeps the water moving through the whole draw, so it doesn’t sit stale or splash toward your mouth. It costs more and takes more cleaning than a dry top. Both of our Switch 2 recyclers are $99.99.
How much does Dr. Dabber Switch 2 glass cost?
Our Switch 2 glass runs from $24.99 for the Dry Attachment to $99.99 for either recycler. The Showerhead Fab is $59.99, and the UFO Opal Joystick Carb Cap is $24.99. Dr. Dabber’s own replacement glass lists at $79.95. Orders over $75 ship free.
