Dab Tools

Stainless dab tools for loading bangers cleanly. Scoops for shatter, pickers for crumble, paddle tips for badder. The right tool for the consistency you’re working with — fair prices, built to last.

What a dab tool does

A dab tool is how you get concentrate from the container to the hot banger without losing it. The wrong tool turns a dab into a finger-sticky mess; the right one makes loading fast and clean.

Tip styles

  • Scoop / paddle — flat tip, best for badder, budder, and rosin (sticky stuff).
  • Picker / point — sharp tip, best for shatter and crumble (brittle stuff).
  • Spoon — small bowl shape, holds liquid concentrates without dripping.
  • Combo tools — two tip styles on one tool. Worth getting if you switch concentrate types.

Material

Stainless steel is standard — easy to clean, won’t rust, neutral flavor. Avoid coated tools (coatings flake into the concentrate).

FAQ

Do I need a dab tool?

Yes. Touching concentrate with your fingers wastes it (sticks to skin) and contaminates it. A $5 dab tool pays for itself in a week.

How do I clean a dab tool?

Wipe with iso alcohol after each use. Once a month, soak in iso for 5 minutes and wipe down.

Stainless steel vs. titanium dab tools?

Stainless is the standard — cheaper, neutral flavor, durable. Titanium is lighter and more expensive but doesn’t hold concentrate any better. Stick with stainless.

Which tip should I pick first?

If your concentrate is sticky (badder, rosin, sauce): scoop or paddle. If it’s brittle (shatter, crumble, diamonds): picker or point. If you switch between consistencies, get a combo tool.

Tip styles by concentrate type

  • Shatter, crumble, diamonds (brittle) — picker or sharp point. Stabs/breaks chunks.
  • Badder, budder, sauce (sticky) — paddle or scoop. Slides under concentrate.
  • Live resin, rosin (variable) — combo tool. Whichever end the texture demands.
  • Distillate, oil (liquid) — spoon or small scoop. Holds without dripping.

Telescoping and combo tools

Some dab tools have multiple tips that screw on or telescope. Useful if you switch concentrate types often. The downside: more parts to lose, slightly less weight balance.

Material details

  • Stainless steel — standard, neutral flavor, durable, easy to clean.
  • Titanium — lighter weight, more expensive, slight metallic taste possible at high temps.
  • Glass — neutral flavor, fragile, looks great. Not recommended for daily use.
  • Ceramic — neutral flavor, fragile, doesn’t conduct heat (good for handle comfort).

Why is my dab tool getting sticky/dirty?

Normal use builds residue. Wipe with iso alcohol after each session. Once a month, full iso soak.

Are electric dab tools worth it?

“Electric heat-tip” tools (Honey Dabber, Dabit) heat the tip electronically — no torch needed. Convenient for on-the-go but less control over temperature than a standard tool + torch.

What’s the difference between a dabber and a dab tool?

Same thing. Some brands call them “dabbers,” others “dab tools.” Marketing more than function.

I really like this rig but I was expecting it to be a little bigger. The description said 9 inches but I would say it’s more 6 inch range . I attached photo with it next to my 8 inch bubbler to show size. Most of my rigs are 4 to 6 inch range. I just wanted something a bit bigger. If was looking for something in the 6 inch range. This would be perfect. I would recommend downsizing to a 10 mm adapter. It’s not a necessity but I feel it makes the draw smoother but it’s a great rig for $100 price point. It seems to be built well and have enough to be used with an Enail.

Got what I wanted, parts were safely wrapped, overall great product. Didn’t come broken, nothing out of the ordinary.

Fast shipping and great packaging of the piece. The rig hits exactly as I hoped, with the tornado effect. The glass itself could be thicker in general. But mostly for further peace of mind. For this model, I wish it were the same height as the "double wu" rig. Worth it and great purchase experience. Especially the email customer service!
