What a recycler actually does

A standard rig pulls vapor through water once and out the mouthpiece. A recycler pulls vapor through water, then routes the mixed water-and-vapor up through a second chamber, then back down — looping continuously while you inhale.

The visual is striking: water churns visibly inside the rig, never sits still. The function is even better. Continuous water motion strips heat without sitting still long enough to rob flavor.

Why recyclers hit different

• No splash in the mouthpiece. Water can’t pool into your mouth.
• More filtration in less time. Vapor passes through water multiple times during a single hit.
• Cleaner flavor. The continuous cycle prevents stale water from sitting on the vapor.
• Less reclaim loss. The geometry catches more reclaim in chambers where you can reuse it.

Recycler styles

• Klein recycler — flat, wide, classic recycler shape. Smooth visible flow.
• Incycler — internal recycler where the second chamber is inside the first. Ultra-compact.
• Sidecar recycler — the second chamber is offset to one side.
• Double recycler — two recycler loops. Maximum motion, maximum filtration.

How do you fill a recycler with water?

Less water than you’d think. Pour slowly until water just covers the bottom intake holes — typically about half an inch in the main chamber. The recycle loop needs room to move; too much water floods it.

How do I clean a recycler?

Iso + salt, but you need to do it properly. Empty all water, add 91%+ isopropyl, add coarse salt, cap every opening, shake hard for 3 minutes. Let it soak 15–30 minutes. Rinse with hot water, multiple cycles.

Why isn’t my recycler cycling water?

Three usual causes: too much water (flooding the loop), too little water (loop has no fluid to move), or a clog in one of the small tubes between chambers (reclaim buildup).
