Quick Answer: A Puffco Peak glass top is the removable glass piece that sits on the Peak’s base. A recycler top gives a longer, smoother hit. A perc top has less drag, and a dry top skips water entirely. Roots Glass Peak tops run $39.99 to $119.99, and most list the Peak Pro and the new Peak.
A Puffco Peak glass top changes how your Peak hits, not just how it looks. Here’s how recycler, perc and dry tops compare, what each one costs, and which one I’d buy.
Quick brief
What should you know before you buy?
Four things that decide which Peak top fits how you dab.
- The style sets the hit. A recycler runs longer and smoother. A perc top is simpler, and a dry top uses no water.
- Recyclers pull harder. They’ve got more drag than a straight perc, so they suit smaller hits.
- Check the model on the listing. Most of our Peak tops list the Peak Pro and the new Peak. Proxy and Pivot glass won’t fit.
- Prices run $39.99 to $119.99. The Dry Pillar is $39.99, and the 8-inch RBR recycler is $119.99.
The basics
What does a Puffco Peak glass top do?
The glass is where the vapor goes on its way to you.
A Puffco Peak glass top is the removable glass piece that sits on the base, over the ceramic chamber. The chamber heats the dab, and the vapor passes through the glass before it reaches you.
The Peak is an e-rig. There’s no banger and no torch. You press a button, and the ceramic chamber heats the dab for you. So the glass on top does the job a water chamber does on a glass rig.
You’ll mostly see three styles:
- Recycler tops. Water cycles through the whole piece and drops back down, over and over.
- Perc tops. Water sits in one chamber, and a perc breaks up the vapor as it passes.
- Dry tops. No water at all. The vapor goes straight through the glass.
There’s a fourth option that isn’t a top. A whip attachment runs your Peak into a dab rig you already own.
Recycler picks
Which Puffco recycler top should you get?
Five recycler tops, from $69.99 to $119.99.
Pick a Puffco recycler top by perc style and budget. All five keep the water cycling. What changes is the shape of the loop, the opal accent and the price.
- Roots Glass 8″ RBR Recycler Puffco Peak Top w/ Opal, $119.99. An 8-inch recycler with an RBR recycler perc and an opal accent on the front.
- Roots Glass Spider Recycler Puffco Top with Opal, $119.99. A spider recycler perc with opal on the side. The listing pitches cooler, smoother vapor.
- Roots Glass Opal Gilly Recycler Puffco Peak Attachment, $99.99. Gilly perc uptakes and a drain, with opal on the side.
- Roots Glass Opal Wormhole Puffco Peak Attachment, $99.99. A donut perc and a dual drain that keep the water moving. It’s got encased opal on the front.
- Gilly Recycler Puffco Top, $69.99. The Gilly-style recycler without the opal. It’s the lowest-priced recycler in this guide.

Side by side
How do these Peak tops compare side by side?
Eight pieces, three styles and a whip, in one table.
The recyclers cost the most, the dry top and the whip cost the least, and the perc top sits in between.
| Piece | Style | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 8″ RBR Recycler w/ Opal | Recycler | $119.99 |
| Spider Recycler with Opal | Recycler | $119.99 |
| Opal Gilly Recycler | Recycler | $99.99 |
| Opal Wormhole | Recycler, donut perc | $99.99 |
| Gilly Recycler | Recycler | $69.99 |
| Exosphere Top | Perc, water | $69.99 |
| Dry Pillar | Dry, 4.5″ tall | $39.99 |
| Whip with Opal | Runs to your rig | $39.99 |
How it hits
What does a recycler top change about the hit?
Longer, smoother pulls, with more drag to go with them.
A recycler top keeps the water moving through the whole piece, so the hit runs longer and comes out smoother. The catch is drag. A recycler pulls harder than a straight perc.
As you pull, water climbs the uptake, runs through the loop and falls back down. That constant flow is what smooths the vapor out.
A Puffco hit already feels different from a torch dab. It’s a lot less harsh, and it lasts a lot longer, because the Peak draws continuously. A recycler leans into that. You get a slow, smooth pull, not one heavy rip.
From the Counter — Who a recycler top is for
A recycler is mainly built for dabbing. The water bubbles through the whole piece and comes back down like a waterfall, so the hit’s longer and it comes out smoother, with more flavor. I point people to one when they take smaller hits and they’re dabbing out of it. That’s a Peak owner.
Just know the trade. A straight perc has a lot less drag than a recycler. And remember what a Puffco is: the convenience pick. It heats up quick, it’s a lot less harsh than a torch dab, and the hit lasts a lot longer.
Other styles
When is a dry or perc top the better buy?
Less drag, less to clean and a lower price.
Pick a perc top if you want water without the recycler’s drag, and a dry top if you don’t want water at all. Both cost less than any recycler in this guide.
- Roots Glass Exosphere Puffco Top, $69.99. An exosphere orb perc with water filtration. You keep the water in a simpler piece.
- Roots Glass Dry Pillar Puffco Peak Attachment, $39.99. A 4.5-inch dry top. There’s no water to fill, change or spill.
Skip the water, and you skip the cooling it gives. If your Peak already hits the way you like and you want less hassle, that’s a fair swap.
A dry top also leaves less to clean, since no water sits in it between sessions.

Whip option
Can you run a Peak through a rig you already own?
A whip attachment lets your own rig do the water work.
Yes. A whip attachment connects the Peak to a dab rig you already own, instead of topping the Peak itself. The Peak still heats the dab, and your rig holds the water.
The Puffco Peak Whip Attachment with Opal is $39.99. It’s got a 14mm glass joint on both ends and lists the Peak Pro and the new Peak. Your rig needs a 14mm joint for it to work.
It’s the move if you’ve already got a glass rig you like. Don’t have one? Browse our dab rigs first.
Fitment
Will these tops fit your Peak?
Check the model on the listing before anything else.
Six of the eight pieces here list the Puffco Peak Pro and the new Puffco Peak. The Gilly Recycler lists the Peak and Peak Pro, and the Wormhole lists compatible Peak models. Check the listing for your model before you order, so you don’t end up with a top that won’t sit right.
Peak glass is made for the Peak line, and it isn’t universal. Each Puffco model runs its own atomizer, and the Proxy and Pivot take their own glass. So a recycler built for the Proxy isn’t a Peak top.
That matters if you searched “Puffco recycler.” A lot of what comes up is Puffco’s own Ryan Fitt recycler glass, which Puffco sells for more than one model. Read the model name on any recycler listing.
Swapping is quick. The glass lifts or twists off the base with no tools, and the new top seats snug over the chamber. Our Puffco Peak glass guide covers fit across every Peak model, the original included, and our Puffco Peak review covers the base itself.
Under $70
Which Peak tops cost under $70?
Four ways to change how your Peak hits for $69.99 or less.
The Gilly Recycler and the Exosphere are $69.99, and the Dry Pillar and the whip are $39.99. That’s a recycler, a perc top, a dry top and a whip, all under $70.
We carry more Peak tops than the eight here, including mini and dry opal tops, and our Puffco Peak attachment buying guide walks through ten of them.
My pick
Which Puffco Peak glass top would I buy?
A straight recommendation for a daily Peak.
For a daily Peak, I’d buy the Opal Gilly Recycler at $99.99. It’s a recycler, so the hit runs longer and smoother, and it lists the Peak Pro and the new Peak.
Want a recycler for less? The Gilly Recycler Puffco Top is $69.99. Want the 8-inch piece? Get the 8″ RBR Recycler at $119.99. Hate changing water? Grab the Dry Pillar at $39.99.

Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What people ask before they swap the glass on a Peak.
What does a recycler do in a Puffco?
A recycler keeps the water moving. As you pull, water climbs through the loop and falls back down in a constant flow, so the hit runs longer and comes out smoother. The trade is more drag than a straight perc top.
Do the Puffco Peak and Peak Pro use the same glass?
Every Roots Glass top in this guide except the Wormhole lists the Peak Pro by name, and most also list the new Peak. The Gilly Recycler Puffco Top lists the Peak and Peak Pro. Check each listing for your model, and see our Puffco Peak glass guide for fit across every Peak.
How do you replace the glass on a Puffco Peak?
Lift or twist the old glass off the base. You don’t need tools. Make sure the seal area is clean, then seat the new top snug over the chamber and take a test pull before you load a dab.
Is custom Puffco Peak glass worth it?
It is if you want the Peak to hit differently. A recycler top gives a longer, smoother pull, a perc top keeps water with less drag, and a dry top skips water. Our Peak tops start at $39.99 for the Dry Pillar.
Can you take the ceramic bowl out of a Puffco Peak?
Yes. The ceramic chamber is its own replaceable part, separate from the glass top, so swapping the top never touches it. Each Puffco model takes its own chamber, so buy the one made for yours.
What are good glass tops for the Puffco Peak Pro?
Pick by how you hit. The Opal Gilly Recycler is $99.99, the Exosphere perc top is $69.99, and the Dry Pillar is $39.99. All three list the Peak Pro and the new Peak.
