Two things change how a Switch 2 hits: the glass on top and the cap over the dish. Everything else is cosmetic. That's the whole line — tops that change how vapor meets water, and caps that steer airflow across the dish so your concentrate keeps moving instead of pooling in one cold spot.
Switch 2 glass is cut for the Switch 2 and nothing else. If you're upgrading from the original Dr. Dabber Switch and you've got a drawer of tops you like, none of it carries over. It doesn't work in the other direction either — Switch 2 glass won't seat on an original Switch. The two rigs share a name and a silhouette; they don't share glass. Before buying any Switch 2 part from anyone, check the listing says "Switch 2" and not just "Switch."
Switch 2 glass is barbelled — stock replacement at one end, heady artist tops at three to four times that at the other, with almost nothing sane in between. That gap isn't a market signal. A carb cap and a second glass top. The cap controls airflow across the dish, which decides whether your concentrate vaporizes evenly. A second top means you're never down for a night because your only glass is dirty. Everything past those two is preference.
Water for size, dry for flavor. Water rounds the edges off everything, including the parts you paid for — smooth, cool, slightly muted. Dry is sharper, louder, and tastes like what your concentrate actually is. Most owners end up with one of each.
Iso and salt, shake, rinse well, air dry. Recyclers take longer because there's more path for residue to sit in. Clean it before it looks like it needs it.
