A percolator bong has an extra glass chamber that breaks smoke into small bubbles before it gets to you. More bubbles, more surface area, more cooling — that’s the whole game. The result is a smoother, cleaner pull at the same temperature. Roots Glass perc bongs across tree, honeycomb, matrix, and Seed of Life styles.
Smoke off a bowl is hot and concentrated. The water in your bong cools it some, but the bubble size matters as much as the water volume. A perc forces smoke through a series of small holes or slits, breaking it into way smaller bubbles. Each bubble has more surface contact with water than one big bubble would.
That’s it. Smaller bubbles, more surface area, faster cooling. You feel it as a smoother pull and less throat scratch.
Percs cost you airflow. The more diffusion, the harder you pull. For most people that’s fine — you’re trading a little draw resistance for a smoother hit.
Smoke diffusion. The perc forces smoke through small holes, breaking it into smaller bubbles that have way more surface contact with water. More contact = more cooling = smoother hit.
Better for smoothness. Worse for draw resistance and cleaning time. If smooth pulls matter to you, percs are worth it. If you prefer a quick snap-style hit and minimal cleaning, a simple diffused downstem is fine.
Pour slowly into the main chamber until water just covers the downstem holes. Then take a soft pull through the mouthpiece without lighting anything. Water gets sucked up into the perc. Top off if the perc dries out, drain a bit if it’s flooded.
Empty it, add 91%+ isopropyl alcohol and a tablespoon of coarse salt, cap the openings, shake hard for 2–3 minutes. Let it soak another 5–10 minutes. Rinse with hot water. Heavy resin in tree percs may need an overnight soak.

I really like this rig but I was expecting it to be a little bigger. The description said 9 inches but I would say it’s more 6 inch range . I attached photo with it next to my 8 inch bubbler to show size. Most of my rigs are 4 to 6 inch range. I just wanted something a bit bigger. If was looking for something in the 6 inch range. This would be perfect. I would recommend downsizing to a 10 mm adapter. It’s not a necessity but I feel it makes the draw smoother but it’s a great rig for $100 price point. It seems to be built well and have enough to be used with an Enail.

Got what I wanted, parts were safely wrapped, overall great product. Didn’t come broken, nothing out of the ordinary.

Fast shipping and great packaging of the piece. The rig hits exactly as I hoped, with the tornado effect. The glass itself could be thicker in general. But mostly for further peace of mind. For this model, I wish it were the same height as the "double wu" rig. Worth it and great purchase experience. Especially the email customer service!
stopped torching my quartz cold cuz of this thing. reads quick and the pro version is worth the extra over the v1
the wart actually keeps me from burning my fingers when i pull the bowl, simple but smart. fits 14mm tight
love using the pivot dry but the water makes it 10x smoother, snaps right on 🤘
the opal embed catches the light crazy good, and the thick fab feels solid in the hand. way nicer than the stock peak top fr
ok the recycler action on this thing is mesmerizing, watching the water cycle while you rip is half the fun. RBR colorwork is clean too, heavier than my old hammer and the pulls are way smoother. def my new daily 🔥
