Two jobs, in order: seal first, steer second. Without a cap, air leaks in over the dish and your draw never builds. With one, the pull comes through the rig properly — and then the cap’s shape decides where the air goes once it’s inside. On a torch setup the banger starts cooling the second you pull the heat, so the cap is racing the clock. The Switch 2 runs induction heat and holds temperature, so a cap has more time to do its job.
Spinner inserts are passive. The vortex-cut glass catches your airflow and spins on its own, dragging concentrate around the dish as it goes. You do nothing — the draw does the work.
